Go for your goals!
How was the start if the year for you? Full of resolutions for your health and wellness? Are you finding the motivation easy and powering through your 2022 goals? Maybe you have been unable to get going on them and need a push in the right direction. Is it all feeling like its too much?
As I write this I am sipping my tea and looking at my book ready to read a few pages once today’s to do list is finished.
Lots of my clients rarely have time for themselves or ever put themselves first. I love this quote when thinking about looking after yourself. “Self care is giving the world the best of you instead of what’s left of you”
How often do you take time to stop for a moment or enjoy whatever makes you feel relaxed and happy? Whether you’re a man or women there is always something to do, somewhere to be or someone to care for.
Staying on track with goals can be hard but so rewarding to put a tick on the list of what we actually have achieved. Striving for something always feels good for the soul.
Maybe a walk every day is on your list? It may feel hard to get started on any goal but once you get going it will feel great! Take some huge gulps of fresh air and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Is your goal to eat more healthily this year to feel better? Maybe sleep better? With our busy hectic lives it can be difficult, but let’s all consider our best selves for one moment. What would this look like? No aches and pains, a healthy diet, a strong healthy mind with positive thoughts flowing. A great sleep every single night…. Ahhhhhh how wonderful this would be?
It is entirely possible and really you only need perhaps to make a few small tweaks to your daily life to achieve this.
First stop is to consider what your goals are and make a plan.
Would you like to get 8 hours of sleep a night? Perhaps consider more water to help achieve this or yoga before bed? Maybe it would help to reduce the amount of alcohol you consume to improve those REM’s every night.
Maybe your goal is to feel lighter and slimmer to enjoy bombing around the garden after the kids and still have energy for a bike ride? So this will need some simple nutrition planning and maybe some portion control.
How about reducing your stress levels to be a happier person, maybe book a gym class just for you, or time to yourself with a good book? You’ll feel so much better for it and its the start of loving yourself more and finding balance in your goals and life.
